Ferris Holidays Summary Terms of Booking

  1. With any overnight coach hire, the person booking the coach is responsible for accommodating the driver(s) on a half board basis as a minimum or a cash equivalent can be agreed for any meals that cannot be pre-arranged (usually £15/€20 per breakfast and/or £20/€25 per evening meal). Where there are 2 drivers’ please ensure that the drivers have one room each.
  2. Food and drinks (apart from water) should not be consumed on the coach unless agreed prior to travel.
  3. All quotes are given based on the information initially given and may need to be revised subject to seeing the final itinerary.
  4. FULL payment for coach hire is required at least 14 days in advance of the departure date.
  5. It may be necessary to add a fuel surcharge, should fuel prices significantly increase as they did in March 2022. We endeavour to avoid such increases wherever possible however currently the circumstances are unprecedented and therefore it is somewhat inevitable that if your quote was given prior to any such hikes, a supplement will have to be added.
  6. Paris permits will not be organised by Ferris Holidays Ltd.
  7. Ski work: for safety & tachograph reasons, we do not allow our drivers to work on the departure day, other than for the departure itself.
  8. Please note that bookings are accepted on the understanding that there will be a cancellation charge if a cancellation is made. A deposit of £50 for smaller jobs and upto £500 for larger jobs is required. We reserve the right to charge a 100% cancellation charge should the cancellation be made within 30 days of the travel date, whether payment has been made or not. This will be retained as the cancellation fee upon cancellation. If the deposit has not been paid when cancelling, the relevant deposit amount is stipulated on the invoice. For busier peak periods such as Feb half term, Whitsun, June & July, full payment is required 1 month prioir to travel. Cancellation is £50 per bus per day for day trips, £500 per bus for tours and there is a 100% cancellation charge if cancelled within 1 month of travel for bookings in these busy periods.
  9. Please note that for any private hire, we do not factor in parking charges because these are often unknown. The individual/group booking the coach is ultimately responsible. We will endeavour to inform you where we are aware that parking charges may apply. Should any fine be incurred as a result of parking charges not being paid, again the group will be charged accordingly should this occur.
  10. You MUST make it your responsibility to ensure your booking has been confirmed. Once the booking has been placed in our system you should get 2 emails; 1 will be the invoice (no further reminder is sent) and also you should get a booking confirmation email. It is also requested that you call a few days before departure to ensure all details for your booking are correct. Thank you.
  11. SCHOOLS – If ‘Safe Street’ applies to your school, please ensure any bookings have the required permit!! Ferris Holidays will not be liable for any potential fine in relation to this and by placing the booking, if you do not obtain the required permit, then the school will be liable for the fine.
  12. NB: No booking is confirmed unless you have received the invoice as this signifies it is booked on our scheduling system. In order to process your booking, we MUST be informed who to invoice with the relevant address, email & mobile number.
