The History of Ferris Coach Hire

We have been running coach trips from South Wales for many decades now and are proud to present a time line of the coaches used by Ferris Coaches since the day we were founded up to our present day coaches. You can view more of our current fleet here.

This Bedford, registration MTG 145L, is the very first brand new vehicle, purchased way back in 1972 and cost £850.

OPJ 77L we believe was a 1973 Ford.

NAC 201P This was first registered in 1976 - Good job we keep our fleet modern nowadays hey!

XHB 559T was a Ford R1114 and it’s taking a rest stop here but is on one permanent rest now!

F871 CNY is a Duple 465 was once spotted in Blackpool in 1996.

NJI 3995 – This Scania K112 Jonckheere was one of our first continental double deck coaches.

This Jonckheere is dropping off at Cardiff Central from a Spanish Holiday.

L94 GAX – A Jonckheere Volvo single deck coach with one of our famous slogans ‘Welcom Abroad’.

R297 PTF - Another Volvo executive double deck coach of ours.

T75 JKG – This Berkhof bodied Volvo B10M-62
 was bought in April 1999.

FJ06 ZKS is a Volvo Berkhoff and is one of our first ever platinum coaches, there are 3 sister vehicles.

WA12 KNP was a purchase made back in 2013.

We have single deck Neoplan Tourliners in our fleet, bolstering our single decker range

In. 2013 we also added 2 VDL Futura II's to modernising our fleet even more.

Raymond Ferris, the proud Owner and Founder of Ferris Holidays passed away on the 26th March 2021. Such an amazing character who was loved by all his Ferris Holidays customers, staff, and family.
